CanPHI directors Tomaz Stich and Malcolm Isaacs will join other Canadians at the Leipzig conference, and the followng week will tour European CLT and wood-fibre board manufacturers to develop new business options and solutions for Canadian Passive House builders and designers.

Certification

Passive House building certification has been developed by the Passivhaus Institut as a highly rigorous quality control process, which ensures that Certified buildings will indeed function according to all aspects of the Passive House Standard. If you are planning to have your project certified, CanPHI strongly recommends that you contact a building Certifier during the design phase, as many offer a Design Phase Review service. This takes much of the risk of certification out of the process, and helps avoid costly mistakes and oversights. For more information see the Building Certification page. CanPHI is now developing new options and partnerships to help Canadian builders and designers achieve Certification.
